I wanted to take a moment to address those of you who have been affected by the recent wave of hurricanes. It is obvious that this has been a nerve-racking time for those of us who live in Florida. As a Miami resident, no one knows better than I how an active hurricane season can disrupt the lives of so many people. Business and the economy in Florida have taken major hits and thousands across the state have lost their homes and livelihoods. The destruction was not limited to just property, trees or power lines, as these storms damaged people’s spirits as well. Whether you or someone you know experienced the devastating damage one of these hurricanes caused, or if your life was put in constant limbo watching and preparing for the storms, it was a highly stressful situation that affected everyone.

As you know, we are a family in Market America -- it is time to reach out and show people that we really care, and that each of us needs Market America now more than ever. A reliable “Plan B” is not merely an option for those of us living in the Southeast and the Gulf States, it is a must! We choose to live here and it can be a paradise, but it comes with the price of weathering the storms and hurricanes. Meteorologists predict another active hurricane season next year and we can only pray that the current season will soon end.

This situation should be a wake-up call for people in the business in addition to those who need to learn what this business can mean to them. Everyone should experience the peace of mind that our UnFranchise^® Owners have when they receive commission checks every week regardless of the storms we face in life. Make sure you are at the Region 3 Convention in Orlando Oct. 22-24, 2004 and make an extra effort to get your entire downline there. This is an opportunity to spread the word. Everyone in Market America’s Southeast Region needs to dig their wells first before they become thirsty again. Get on the phone with everyone in your group as well as your prospects and use this Regional to get them on track. The powerful event will feature Vice President of Information Systems Kevin Buckman, Director of Field Development Andrew Weissman and Dream Team 2004 member Mary Susan Bedard in addition to all the Directors and Field Vice Presidents from the Southeast. Get ready to experience more detailed and comprehensive training than ever before!

Stay at the hotel, network and hang out with all the top leaders. The Regional will be held at the Orange County Convention Center, 9800 International Drive in Orlando. The event begins Friday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. with Upper Level Training 101. A special Coring will be held on Friday night for those staying at the hotel from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with the General Session commencing at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, Oct. 23, the Regional starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. On Sunday, the event concludes with a General Session from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
