Let me take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I hope you had a great holiday season. I also hope you made some resolutions and set some goals for 2005. If you got caught up in the holiday festivities and didn’t do it, this is the week to make it happen. If you intend to make 2005 “your year,” you need to begin the year by investing some time in yourself.

You can start defining your identity by writing it down: Who are you, and who do you want to become? What are your goals in life for 2005, and how do you translate them into the business? What do you need to accomplish in the business in order to reach your goals in life? Then, what goals are you willing to set for your business? What Pin Level or income level are you going to reach? Next, consider what you must accomplish each month, each week and each day to achieve them. This represents the ladder of tasks and activities you must climb to achieve them. It’s your detailed plan. If you don’t have your mental road map in place, it’s highly unlikely you will get there, so I encourage you to take the time to do it.

Once this is defined, put it down into a written goal statement: what you want; when you want it; what you are willing to do, overcome or sacrifice to get it; and your detailed plan of what you must do each month, week and day to guarantee you achieve it. Commit it to paper, read it twice daily and you are on your way!  Remember, the difference between success and failure is simple: the individual who succeeded simply did what the individual who failed did not.

I know that some of you have already made resolutions and formulated goals for the New Year. That’s a big step, and it’s commendable. However, there are a few individuals who need to work more diligently on their goals and goal statement. It’s just a matter of setting the time aside and taking the next step. Many Distributors in the Field haven’t made any resolutions at all (especially regarding their businesses), and they haven’t set any goals. I hope you seize this moment now that the year is young and fresh with promise so that 2005 will be your year. It is the single most important thing for you to do. Make the time to focus on what you want to accomplish in 2005.  

If you are genuinely serious about your goals, the No. 1 priority is to attend 2005 Leadership School. If you are already planning to attend Leadership School, who else can you get to go? Do you understand how powerful that is? If each of you who are ready to go and want to make 2005 your year brought two people to Leadership School, you would take a shortcut to success. This is because you would have two people who would gain the belief, knowledge and commitment necessary to go home and make the business happen with you or without you!

Getting people to Leadership School is the highest and best use of your time.

Leadership School begins in one month, and I believe you can get a couple of more people there, even if they are “new” or prospects. Don’t forget: the highest and best use of your time between now and Leadership School (Feb. 10-13) is getting people there. If you have veteran Distributors who still do not have their tickets, I would do whatever it takes to get them there. Think about it -- if you bring your prospects, you wouldn’t have to explain everything and dispense all the new information you’ll receive at Leadership School. The bottom line is that you can measure one’s probability of success in 2005 by whether he or she is going to Leadership School and by the number of people he or she gets to go. There are only about 1,000 tickets left, so don’t delay ordering them.

Remember that Leadership School will be a four-day event this year, similar to the International Convention, and it will begin on Thursday, Feb. 10. You get more for the money! Thursday will be devoted to heavy training, presentations by doctors and new product releases and technology. Be sure to arrive Wednesday night so you can be ready for Thursday morning’s presentations.

With all the new information, you can’t afford to miss a single minute! I can state with certainty that 2005 Leadership School promises to be one of the most exciting, informative and inspirational events we have ever held. Be there!
