Haute Living magazine is dedicated to the American Dream and to those individuals who have achieved untold levels of success. In the past two months alone, we have been honored to sit down with some of the world's biggest names: Sumner Redstone, who is the chairman of Viacom and CBS, music industry legend Clive Davis, and Sir Richard Branson, who discussed his Virgin empire.

I was blessed to be with Loren and JR on their mega-yacht, Utopia III, during the fateful summer night two years ago when Alicia Keys and Alejandro Sanz first met. That evening, along with Loren and JR, I witnessed the origin of what eventually evolved into "Looking for Paradise" — a worldwide hit song featured on Alejandro's new album, which he performed live during the 2010 ma World Conference.

As Loren and JR will tell you, there was something magical in the air that evening as we cruised around Manhattan. Alicia and Alejandro were caught up in that magic, and began jamming about utopia and the idea of paradise. It was clear to everyone there that it was a universal theme, something that applies to everyone, no matter who they are or where they're from. No matter what your personal version of paradise is — because it is different for everyone — you spend your life looking for it.

What separates the moguls that we feature in Haute Living from the rest of the population is that these individuals are not looking for paradise. They took it upon themselves to create it.

What I have learned about Market America is that it gives people the tools to create their own paradise, to take control of their lives, and to make it happen. This is what Haute Living is all about.

New Haute Living Special Edition

This special edition of Haute Living is dedicated to the concept of creating paradise through Market America. This unique issue of Haute Living is more than just a magazine; it is a resource guide, a roadmap to understanding Market America, and a priceless tool for anyone who is interested in using Market America's proven plan for success.

To put this together, I went back to the site of my original meeting with Loren and JR — the Ridinger's Miami Beach estate, Casa de Sueños, the House of Dreams — where Alejandro Sanz joined them for an intimate photo shoot.


The articles on Loren and JR allow readers to get lost in the Ridingers' paradise. We then spoke with some of Market America's top UnFranchise® Owners from around the country, many of whom invited our team of photographers into their homes so that readers can see what paradise means to them: Amber Yang and Michael Lu, Arlene Lowy, Catherine Ma and Shu Yang, Daniel and Ruth Canubas, Elizabeth Weber, Jacki Blasko, Joanne She, Keith and Kim Doyle, Kelly and Vicky Whited, Melissa Conley, Lisa and Edward Grant, Norm and Mary Roth, Patrick Sigh and Alice Chen, Paul and Lisa Carlotta, Paul and Teresa Carney, Roger Wu, Steve Harris, Lydia Martinez, and Vikki Lee. We traveled the country from coast to coast to meet these Power Players, and saw so many versions of the paradise that Market America has made possible for them.

It became clear during this time that we needed to go beyond just showcasing others' paradises, as Haute Living typically does. This unique issue breaks Market America down for you.
