Branded Portal to Go Live January 30

Important and exciting enhancements coming
to your Market America Custom Web Portal

On January 30, 2007 Market America will unveil its new one branded shopping portal. The site's launch will coincide with Market America's Super XLI Party - one day before the world's most watched event, the NFL Super Bowl.

The new branding campaign and site restructuring is designed to drive traffic to your Web Portal > leading to additional Preferred Customers > resulting in increased retail profits > generating more BV and IBV > delivering more commissions and bonuses!

The goal is to create the ultimate online shopping destination with an easy to use, intuitive site, all with the personal touch of One-to-One Marketing. It's the Internet - powered by people. The company is investing $15 million in information technology, research, development, marketing, computer programming infrastructure and human resources. This includes a new state-of-the-art IT Research and Development facility. The magnitude of the investment reflects Market America's commitment to change the face of business - one customer at a time.

What will happen on January 30?

  1. All Distributor Web Portals with the unfranchise.com domain will migrate to the marketamerica.com domain: "http://www.loren.unfranchise.com" will become "http://www.marketamerica.com/loren."
  2. URLs with the unfranchise.com domain will automatically redirect to your new Web Portal address.
  3. All Web Portals will be enabled with Online Credit Card Processing. Market America will provide Online Credit Card Processing to all Distributors. This service is provided at no additional cost and is included in the Distributor Subscription Kit and annual renewal fees. The new Online Credit Card Processing service includes:
  • Online Customer Credit Card Processing - allows you to accept Visa® and MasterCard®, including the Market America MasterCard as payment for orders placed on your Web Portal
  • Allows you to accept secure payments from your customers online - 24 hours per day, 365 days per year
  • Only a 3% service fee on the total transaction amount

The net profits of a sale will be credited to your Market America account. Funds from your credit on account may be requested at any time. Once your account exceeds $50, Market America will automatically send you the funds via check to your mailing address on file. Even though Market America is enabling all active Web Portals with online customer credit card processing - there are unique and distinct advantages to having an iTransact Merchant Account.

iTransact Merchant Accounts - e-commerce services provided to Distributors through an iTransact Merchant Account will remain unchanged. An iTransact Merchant Account provides a complete solution to your e-commerce needs. Customers can securely enter their own payment information via your Web site, or you can enter payment information (received via e-mail, phone, fax, or in person) on your Virtual Terminal. A Virtual Terminal is an online version of the credit card swipe machines used in stores, with no expensive equipment. Accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover®. Soon all Distributors will be able to accept online credit card payments, and everyone has the ability to customize their e-commerce services to fit their business's needs.

What are some of the benefits of a one branded portal?

  • Brand recognition - Higher visibility in the online world.
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO will increase the number and "quality" of cyber-visitors to Market America. Currently, popular search engines like Google and Yahoo! view Market America's Distributors Portals as 140,000 unique and individual sites. In essence, Market America loses "credit" for all the hits to those sites, thus moving the Market America Web Portal to the bottom of search listings. The new branded portal will place Market America at the top of the search engine listings. For example - if someone types "antioxidant" into a search engine - OPC-3® will appear at or near the top on the results page.

What will Market America do with all that cyber-traffic? Funnel it to UnFranchise® Owners and Distributors > leading to additional Preferred Customers > resulting in increased retail profits > generating more BV and IBV > delivering more commissions and bonuses to you!

This new cyber-lead generation program is provided to UFMS subscribers (who meet certain conditions) at no additional cost. To ensure that a customer's first experience with Market America's online shopping experience is the best possible, the following conditions are required to participate in the cyber-lead generation program - a Distributor must have:

  1. An activated Market America Web Portal.
  2. Purchased once through their Market America Web Portal in the last 12 months.
  3. Five registered Preferred Customers, who have purchased once through your Web Portal in the last 12 months.

This new enhancement will replace the existing Distributor Locator System, code 6000. Current Locator subscribers will receive a prorated credit for their remaining service period. Code 6000 will be discontinued and no longer available after February 1, 2007.

Don't worry. If one of your customers or prospects lands on the corporate portal (marketamerica.com) - they will be thoroughly screened to ensure that they are placed in the care of the correct Customer Manager.
