i.design™ Returns and Exchanges

Since the announcement of the i.design™ program’s discontinuation, there have been many questions concerning outstanding gift certificates and garment exchanges. All gift certificates and exchanges will be honored by i.design through October 10, 2004. After October 10, refunds will be given for outstanding gift certificates. For garments that need to be returned for fit considerations after October 10, refunds of the original retail sale amount will be given.

To enter your exchange measurement adjustment information, go to http://idesign.archetype-solutions.com/ and follow the steps described below. Although you can now order custom clothing through Lands’ End, all i.design custom clothing exchanges must be handled directly through i.design.

Instructions for Exchange - 3 Easy Steps!

Step 1 - PERFORM EXCHANGE ON WEB SITE: No exchange will occur if you do not make exchange adjustments on the i.design Web site.

  • Go to http://idesign.archetype-solutions.com/
  • Click on the "Return/Exchange Order" link found under "My Info" at the bottom of the page. >>
  • Enter your user ID and password to log in. >>
  • Click on the garment ID# of the garment you wish to exchange. The garment ID can be found on the label of your clothing item or on your exchange form.
  • You have the option to change your garment color or change only the listed features.
  • Make your adjustments based on how your current order fits. You must enter an amount (in inches) for any adjustment you want made. (See "Adjustment Tips" for more information on the i.design Web site).
  • Complete the shipping information and reason-for-return sections and submit your exchange request.
  • You will be given a new order number and garment ID#. Print this page for your reference.

Step 2 - SEND GARMENT BACK TO ARCHETYPE: After you make your adjustments on the i.design Web site, send the top portion of the exchange form along with your unwashed and unworn garment (you may try on your garment to assess fit)to:

You will find a return label at the bottom of your exchange form. Peel off the exchange shipping label and affix it to your package. Do not send your adjustments with your garment.

Step 3 - EXCHANGE PROCESSED: Your exchange will be processed when we receive your garment. You will receive an e-mail confirmation when we receive your garment. Please allow four weeks to remake and ship your new garment.
