Market America Delivers Message of Economic
Opportunity to Entrepreneurs and Stars

Market America Sells out American Airlines Arena with message on how to capitalize in
today's economy to entrepreneurs and icons such as Eva Longoria Parker, Alejandro Sanz,
Paulina Rubio, Alonzo Mourning, and Cheryl Tiegs.

MIAMI, FL (Feb 9, 2009) — “I have an announcement about the recession… we choose not to participate.” That was the message delivered by James Ridinger, president and CEO of Market America, to an enthusiastic crowd of entrepreneurs at a sold out American Airlines at the company's World Conference held Feb. 5-7.

Over 25,000 attendees from the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Australia attended the conference to learn about the company's newest products, services, technology and how they can leverage the Internet to earn an ongoing income. Despite a slumping world-wide economy, Market America saw sales increase by 20% in 2008 and projects continued growth for 2009.

Market America made a number of announcements regarding enhancements and additions to marketamerica.com, of which most significant was that Market America has partnered with FAST, A Microsoft Subsidiary to index over 35 million SKU's on marketamerica.com. Bjørn Olstad, Ph.D., co-founder of FAST and leader of the Enterprise Search Group at Microsoft was on hand for the announcement and spoke about how Microsoft FAST will improve site search for Market America's 180,000 independent Customer Managers and six million customers.

Loren Ridinger, senior vice president of Market America, had the crowd on their feet in applause when she launched a series of new Motives® by Loren Ridinger cosmetics, which include 48 new colors and a number of eye shadows, blushes, lipsticks, powders, concealers, mascaras, bronzers, and lip plumpers. “I was blown away by the reaction to the new Motives products both during the initial launch announcement and when I walked to the concourse and saw a seemingly endless line of Motives consultants who could not wait to get their hands on the new products. I have worked day and night to ensure that these new cosmetics are of the highest quality and the hottest new products available on the market, and I am proud to say based on the reaction, that we accomplished that and much more.”

Among the luminaries on hand to show their support for Market America's event were Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker, Grammy award winner Alejandro Sanz, Queen of Latin Pop Paulina Rubio, NBA star Alonzo Mourning, and model/actress and judge on the ABC series “True Beauty” Cheryl Tiegs who helped launch the new Fashion Channel on mamyworld.com; Market America's entertainment, fashion, digital, and sports portal.
